Accounting Associate

Program Description:
This program is designed to provide the student with an effective working knowledge of the various accounting principles and accounting practices. The student will develop the skills necessary to communicate in business environment utilizing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), double entry accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable management, reconciling, budgeting, cost accounting, and compiling and analyzing reports. This program also provides training for those people who need accounting for effective and efficient business operations such as owners, managers, or employees.

$22,960 - $35,450

Local Employment Outlook:
Employment of bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks is projected to grow more slowly than average for all occupations through 2014. More job openings will stem from replacement needs than from job growth. Each year, numerous jobs will become available as these clerks transfer to other occupations or leave the labor force. The large size of this occupation ensures plentiful job openings, including many opportunities for temporary and part-time work.
